The AECDC works with and through other agencies to serve clients.  Public and private health and social service agencies send us referrals for diapers, formula, baby equipment and durable medical equipment.  If the items are available, the agencies then provide them directly to the families in need.
We have a friendly, inviting office in New Brunswick that can provide rewarding work supporting our clients.  Activities may include clerical support, phone monitoring, hands-on involvement with donations/purchases as well as client requests.  Also need help keeping our resource list to clients up-to-date.
Beyond our office, we also need members of special project groups that promote funding and donations to increase our support to clients.

Since our office is very small, we ask that you call before coming in to talk about how you can help. We also schedule volunteers so that there is space for everyone to work. Volunteers can choose from the following activities:

  • Clerical work, such as filing and handling large mailings and helping with other office tasks
  • Organizing large donations of baby clothes
  • Running diaper drives
  • Attending meetings that have information to share with clients, such as networking for health care and food; health fairs; meetings of other social service agencies.
  • Helping with special projects, such as our Holiday Wishing Wall.
